So there has been a lot going on and I am not very good at keeping up with this so I will just give you the highlights
-went to the beach A LOT =]
-found an awesome youth group that has an amazing youth pastor
-mom and dad started working
there is probably a ton more but i cant really remember right now =[.
On Friday I had a sleepover with all of the little girls on the street and we had a blast. I hand delivered sparkly invitations the girls' houses on Thursday with all the details and told them to bring their favorite outfit for glamour shots =]. They all showed up around 7 or 8 and we ate and got dressed. I did hair and helped them get dressed. I then set up a sheet and we started the pictures. It was so much fun we had two girls that are in kindergarten, two in first grade, and two girls that are 10. We all had so much fun. After our glamour shots we all settled down on the couch with lots of snacks to watch, well what else but, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL. And of course we set it to sing-a-long and just danced and sang at the top of our lungs. Did i mention we had a blast? Well we finally got them all to sleep around 12:00 and they were all awake bright and early at 7:30. wow-that's early. We ate french toast and layed around. They all went home except Jessica. Now this girl is so funny, shes easy going, beautiful, smart, easy to get along with. She stayed most of the day with me and went with me to get the pictures from the night before developed. As I was walking home that evening she looked up at me and said " I wish you were my big sister, your so awesome." I wanted to cry. Of course I'm already a big sister and I love maddie and zoe to death [and canaan sometimes ;]] but she is such a sweetheart i just hugged her and told her i loved her and that i would love to be her big sister also. So to make a long story short when i got home last night from the beach there were flowers on my doorstep with a note inside signed from all the girls =].
So the point of the story is that i have a lot of new little sisters and i LOVE where i live =]
Other than that not much else is going on. I start helping with Munchkin Missions on Thursday. Munchkin Missions is the i guess babysitting service that Teen Missions offers to the families while the parents work. I'm really excited because Beth has a lot of fun things plan and i get to work with my little girls =]
okay so im a little late on the post but we just now got our internet hooked up. We got here around 10:30 last tuesday and the pciture above pretty much explains the last week haha. So everything is unpacked and I love where we live. It is about 15 miles from the beach (the nice one anyways) and pretty close to anything else you could imagine. The neighborhood is amazing. Almost everyone on the street works at Teen Missions so it is very safe and friendly. In the evenings the kids ride around and we usually end up sitting in someones driveway talking and "fellowshipping" its is so neat. Although there are no kids on the street close to my age i still enjoy playing with all 24(ish) other little kids. I have also come to enjoy our (kinda) neighbors The Houtons they are awesome. They have three beautiful children and i love spending time with them, in fact i think Brent is going to teach me to surf on saturday =]. Canaan, Maddie, and Zoe have plenty of friends and we all enjoy each other.
